Today we are visiting Mullet Creek Park, sometimes referred to as Mullet Creek Nature Park. This is Safety Harbor’s newest addition to its growing palette of beautiful city parks. It is also another example of an old adage that when it comes to parks at least, size really does not matter and great things can come in smaller packages.
This outdoor art gallery sits on 2.6 acres and has different sections to “Ponder”, “Play”, “Watch”, “Share” and more. There are benches, swings and picnic tables throughout where you might sit, rest and take it all in.
There is an imaginative play area for the youngsters. You will find garden demonstration areas to learn about growing plants and all are maintained by volunteers. All this lends more beauty to the sculptures and art pieces found throughout the park.
Our photos are just a sampling of what is waiting for you to discover at Mullet Creek Park. It is not a large park but it is a very special park and you need to see it for yourself. It is paved, level and suitable for wheelchairs and walkers.
