Brooker Creek Preserve is 8,700 acres of huge and beautiful Florida wild space. The paths are wide, well-kept and safe. We have been on the trails on weekdays when we have not met or seen another person!

The trails are well marked and easy to follow. Just be sure to pick up a free trail map. A visit to the Environmental Education Center is a must. You'll find dynamic displays and some even invite touching. Some changes were made due to Covid.

The store offers many unusual items as well as books and literature to learn more about this area we live in. They have an audio/video show you will not want to miss that's comparable to Disney magic.

There are many informational signs along the trails. They have volunteers that conduct tours in and of the preserve. You can find all of the whens, whats and wheres on their informative and easy to navigate website mentioned through the links below. Be sure to sign-up to receive notices of their events and programs. In pre-Covid times there was something of interest on most weekends and it is all slowly and carefully coming back.

Free to park, visit and enjoy though donations are appreciated. Dogs are not allowed on the boardwalks or trails. (Another difference between most parks and preserves.)

“Brooker Creek Preserve is approximately 8,700 acres, and the largest natural area in Pinellas County. It consists primarily of forested wetlands and pine flatwoods. Bordered by dense urban development, the Preserve provides both a unique refuge for native flora and fauna, as well as an opportunity for citizens to explore the natural beauty of wild Florida.”
