There is something special here for everyone. Of course, that would have to include beautifully manicured grounds with plenty of green space under tall oak shade trees. We certainly like the long and level sidewalk that surrounds the entire park to take in the very scenic views while getting a little walking exercise.

The scenic comes from the water views of Spring Bayou on three sides with benches and picnic tables for resting, lunching or just enjoying the view. That view often includes dolphins at play every now and again during the cold-water season. It’s also a park where you can enjoy walking with your best four-footed friend. You might drop a line if you are a fisherman. There is also a ramp to launch your boat.

One more thing – among many things for you to discover – is the modern, local history museum onsite! If you are a history buff like us that is a real plus.

Welcome to Craig Park on Spring Bayou in Tarpon Springs.
“The cultural heart of Tarpon Springs is shady Craig Park overlooking Spring Bayou. The serene waters of the Bayou attracted the town's very first settler, and many wealthy northerners of the 19th century later built their winter homes on this "Golden Crescent." Still very much a town landmark, the Bayou is the site of the annual Greek Orthodox Epiphany Celebration and cross-diving ceremony, and the winter home to numerous manatees.

The Tarpon Springs Heritage Museum is located on Craig Park. Craig Park offers a boat ramp, picnic area, playground, tennis court, and recreation center. The recreation center is only open during various programs and events. The park also features a band shell for concerts.”
