“Scotsdale Park features nearly a mile of hard surface trails, a picnic shelter facility, electricity, picnic tables and a bike rack. This eight-acre passive park also contains two large ponds and a beautiful, wooded section. The park is located on Beltrees Street in the Scotsdale Subdivision. It is open from sunrise to sunset.”

This is one of those treasures hidden in plain sight – not often talked about – but definitely worth a visit. It is a quiet, beautiful small park nestled in a nice neighborhood. The kind of spot you might see mail carrier trucks taking their lunch break here as we have.

The crown jewel is a small pond with two islands surrounded by a level paved path. You’ll find people walking their dogs, and couples doing healthy laps at a leisurely or faster walking pace. All friendly.

If you want picturesque in a small package then this is the ideal place! We always see many types of birds and there is at least one resident (and elusive) alligator in the pond. It’s very well taken care of and a safe place to visit. We think you might enjoy it just as much as we have. Let us know what you think.

Our thanks to
Monica Wrobel of the Dunedin Parks & Rec Department for helping us identify the cypress trees that give this Park its touch of Autumn color. Learn more about Florida's cypress trees,
(Explorers we are but tree experts we are not.)

If you see us along the trails please stop and say hello.
